How To Watch Pokémon: Paldean Winds

Pokemon Paldean Winds

Pokémon: Paldean Winds is now three episodes deep, and is one of two new anime projects announced during the August Pokémon Presents. The other series, Path to the Peak, was pretty good overall, telling the heartwarming story of a young TCG player who learns to fit in and be more confident in herself through the card game.

Paldean Winds is a little bit different, taking place actually in the Pokémon World rather than a version of our own. It also follows Scarlet and Violet a little more closely than Pokémon Horizons, focusing on a group of Academy students who set out on the great treasure hunt that marks the start of every school year.

In this guide we’ll tell you the Pokémon: Paldean Winds release date, as well as where you can watch it and what you can expect from it.

Pokémon: Paldean Winds – What To Expect

Pokémon: Paldean Winds tells the story of three students at Naranja Academy, all of whom have one of the three Paldean starter Pokémon. The series will see the three embark on their journey to find their true treasure, known in Paldea as the great treasure hunt, something that appeared in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Characters like Clavell, Nemona, and Arven are all set to appear in the series too.

The main cast and their partner Pokémon are:

  • Ohara — Fuecoco

  • Aliquis — Meowscarada

  • Hohma — Quaxly

The series will span for four episodes, with each episode lasting about 10 minutes. It’s being produced by WIT Studio, an anime studio that has worked on series like Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and the upcoming Suicide Squad Isekai. The studio also previously worked on another Pokémon miniseries, Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, which was based on Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
