In August we saw a select group of surfers—Joel Parkinson, Mason and Coco Ho, Adriano de Souza, Conner Coffin, and Hood Ahmen—compete in the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy with single fin, twin fin, and thruster divisions.

Parko won the single-fin division in perfect overhead surf at Sultans, the epic righthander that's accessible by boat.

In the latest video from Ho & Pringle Productions, we get to see more waves and some behind-the-scenes action like Michael Ho in serious dad mode.

The video dropped today and is captioned:

"Midway through hour Indonesian adventure we snuck over to the Four Seasons Maldives for the most luxurious surf event ever, The Surfing Champions Trophy!

"We got lucky with swell and scored some really nice waves at Sultans. Invitees: Mason & Coco Ho, Joel Parkinson, Adriano De Souza, Conner Coffin & local boy Rob Hoob.

"The entire gang goes back in time grabbing their Single Fins for an epic old-school clash!

"Plus bonus single fin wisdom from Uncle Mike while he gets Coco ready for the event."

The video is filled with back-to-back waves and near the end, we see Michael Ho in full-on dad mode helping daughter Coco get ready for the contest.

In true dad form, he's making sure her fin is placed correctly on her board.

It's like a heavy Hawaiian surfer version of "The Three Bears," where Mike's trying to get the fin placement just right.

Meanwhile, Aussie surf legend and shaper Mark Richards took to Instagram to show us which one of his models Mason rode in the Maldives. According to the post, the rounded pin tail "was built by the team in the @lostsurfboardsfactory in San Clemente, California."
