How to Watch the Oscars if You Don't Have a TV
Welcome, friends, the Academy Awards are just around the corner (Sunday, February 24) and there's still no host because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. In any case, Hollywood's most major awards show has ARRIVED, and it promises to be just as dramatic and messy as usual. Although, obviously nothing can ever beat this:
Clearly it's very important that you tune in-but, like, what if you don't have a television because you've spent all your money on things like sheet masks and pizza? I gotchu.
No TV? No Problem, My Dude
The Oscars are airing February 24 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET, which is exciting for people who own a TV. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF US? Fortunately, there are options. If you have a computer or phone, you should be able to easily stream the show at abc.com or through the ABC app. If you're stressed about logging in because you don't have cable, it's cool. You should be good with either YouTube TV or Hulu with Live TV, both of which offer free trials you can sign up for right before the show.
If you don't have a computer or phone, I can only assume you've time-traveled from 1995, in which case, surprise: Trump is president!
F*ck the Oscars, Tell Me How to Watch the Red Carpet
Wow, okay, calm down. First of all, you're in luck because there are two red carpets! The ABC one (which is more ~serious~ in tone) will air at 6:30 p.m. ET, and you can stream it on their site or app. Also, The Academy's very own Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live will be airing on Twitter-just follow @TheAcademy starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, E! will be doing its usual messy/amazing/iconic thing with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic starting a little earlier at 5 p.m. ET.
