Hollywood's most glamorous night of the year is nearly upon us, and whether you're all-in on your awards show predictions or are just in for the fashionable red carpet moments, it's sure to be a night to remember. Here's everything you need to know to make sure you don't miss a moment of the Oscars action.
When are the Oscars?
The 2024 Oscars will air on Sunday, March 10, at 7 p.m. eastern on ABC.
How to tune in
The Oscars be televised, as usual, live on ABC. For cord-cutters, the awards will also be available to stream live via abc.com or the ABC app (the app must be authenticated through your cable or satellite provider) as well as through Hulu Live TV, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.
Who is hosting?
Jimmy Kimmel is returning for his fourth run as host of the Academy Awards.
"We are thrilled about Jimmy returning to host and Molly [McNearney] returning as executive producer for the Oscars,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang said in a statement to Variety. “They share our love of movies and our commitment to producing a dynamic and entertaining show for our global audience."
Kimmel will, of course, be joined on stage during the ceremony by a slew of A-list presenters including, Mahershala Ali, Nicolas Cage, Jamie Lee Curtis, Brendan Fraser, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ke Huy Quan, Sam Rockwell, Michelle Yeoh, and Zendaya.
Who is nominated?
No surprise, the awards season domination of "Barbenheimer" is continuing amongst the Oscars, with Oppenheimer receiving 13 nods and Barbie receiving 8 despite the surprising—and controversial—snubs of both Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig for Best Actress and Best Director, respectively.
