"This is the first Proton they [Channel Islands] made me in 2004 or so," says Reynolds in the short film below, while pillaging the Channel Islands warehouse for OG shapes. "This was my favorite board that I qualified for the World Tour on. Crazy that I used to ride 6'2" knifey, bladey, rockery boards, even in 1-foot waves."

It's not just the Proton that Reynolds pulls out of rafters in the CI factory. With Rolo Montes, Parker Coffin, Mikey February and Eithan Osborne in mind, Reynolds grabs some of CI's most popular designs of all time for the five of them (plus a few friends) to ride, including the original Dumpster Diver, The Rookie (made for Andy Irons, interestingly), Tom Curren's flat and fat OP Pro winning thruster from the 80s, and a pair of Kelly Slater's super narrow, super thin 90s blades.

And that's just to name a few.

While Reynolds has been pumping out content on his Chapter 11 channel as of late, this is some of his most interesting and in-depth work ever.

While it's a longer watch at 25 minutes, we promise: It's worth your time.

Go ahead, click play now. At the very least, we know you're interested in finding out what sent Reynolds to the emergency room in Mexico while filming, no?
