How to watch Nintendo Direct Feb 2024: will it mention Nintendo Switch 2?

Nintendo has always been a great company when it comes to keeping its fans informed and its Nintendo Direct presentation events often come thick and fast.

The latest will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 21 February 2024 and will be dedicated to Nintendo Switch games coming up over the next few months. Sadly, it looks like there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch 2.

Here are all the details on when it starts and what to expect.

When will the new Nintendo Direct start?

The latest Nintendo Direct will be available to watch from 2pm GMT on Wednesday 21 February 2024. You can check out other regional start times below:

  • US West Coast: 6:00 PST

  • US East Coast: 10900 EST

  • UK: 14:00 GMT

  • Central Europe: 15:00 CET

  • India (New Delhi): 19:30 IST

  • China (Beijing): 22:00 CST

  • Japan (Tokyo): 23:00 JST

  • South Korea (Seoul): 23:00 KST

  • Australia (Sydney): 01:00 AEDT (22 February)

What to expect during the latest Nintendo Direct?

The new Nintendo Direct presentation is subtitled "Partner Showcase", which gives you an idea of what to expect – plenty of third-party game updates and reveals.

It will run for "around 25 minutes" and primarily feature games coming out in the "first half of 2024".

That means there will be nothing on the Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever it turns out to be called). That's not exactly surprising considering it has recently been revealed that Nintendo's next-gen console will now not be available this year. It is claimed that it will be launching in the first quarter of 2025 instead, most likely March.

It could be that Nintendo will announce the machine beforehand, but not until late 2024 at the earliest.

What we could see during this latest Direct though is more on Microsoft's plans to bring Xbox exclusives to other platforms, so maybe look out for Hi-Fi Rush and possibly one other.
