Watch Miley Cyrus Perform a Country Version of "See You Again"

She's just being Miley.

Miley Cyrus just transported fans back to 2007 — by performing her iconic "See You Again" for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge on the front porch of her own Rainbowland Studio in Malibu.

The 24-year-old "Malibu" singer, who donned turquoise cowboy boots for the outdoor concert, brought a country vibe to a number of her pop hits including "Party in the USA." That said, there's no denying that the classic "See You Again" that was recorded for the Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus soundtrack stood out. And if the lyrics "My best friend Leslie said 'Oh she's just being Miley'" immediately came to mind, then we're right there with you.

"[It's] a super countrified version of 'See You Again'... I haven't done that song in probably six years," she told BBC about revisiting the track for the live stage. And off the bat, the rendition is noticeably more toned down with a less pop-y feel to it. "We kind of Nancy Sinatra'd it, we kind of made it cool western," Miley added. She also performed her recent singles “Malibu” and “Younger Now," as well as Roberta Flack’s ballad “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” for the required Live Lounge cover. No word if Leslie herself was in the crowd.
