Watch: Metallica just released a brand new music video for 'Too Far Gone' and pro skater Felipe Nunes steals the show

Skateboarding and metal (rock'n'roll...whatever you wanna call it) have always been synonymous. In fairness, many of us have built up quite an eclectic catalog of music over the years (thanks to countless iconic skate videos) spanning all genres, but still, skateboarding and metal make sense.

The energy is mirrored; you can feel it. And that's exactly what we're seeing in Metallica's new music video for "Too Far Gone" as Birdhouse pro, and all-around ripper, Felipe Nunes does his thing on screen from start to finish.

From the mind of Coan "Buddy" Nichols (@sixstair), the video is exactly what you'd expect it to be—unique, imaginative, extremely well put together and raging!

Say what you want, but I genuinely think Felipe Nunes is one of the gnarliest skateboarders in the world. The spots he's tackled, the slams he's taken—brutal, brutal beatings—and all the tricks he's checked off his list are nothing short of incredible.

The fact is, he's stepping to spots that many (aging, lazy) pros aren't even thinking about. This is basically like a full part from Felipe—slams and battles included. And the soundtrack couldn't be more fitting.

Tony Hawk hopped on Instagram in full support of his rider, teammate and friend, saying, "Consider this post the world premiere of @metallica’s music video for “Too Far Gone?” featuring the world’s gnarliest skater (aka @felipenunesskate)"

What else is there to say? I'll just leave it at that.
