Watch: Mark Richards Unveils Epic New Twin Fin Model and Shares the Spray Process

Retro twin fin master and four-time world champ Mark Richards, aka MR, is a legend.

Even after a lifetime of surfing, he's still creating new models and pushing the boundaries in his shaping.

In a post yesterday after documenting the process for the last week or so, MR revealed his newest model he's named the Turbo Channel Twin Fin.

MR unveiled the new board above, captioning the post:

"Finished photo of my 61” long Turbo Channel Twin Fin which is a new model I’m developing. I did the spray starting with the Yellow first, faded the Red into it & then the Blue. It’s a stock size, 6’1” long, 203/8” wide & 25/8” thick. I posted photos & a video of the spray process last week."

As he documented the process, his posts offered us an inside look at carefully spraying the boards with his signature primary colors of red, blue, and yellow. You can see more in his posts below.

The journey began with the post below which he captioned:

"Photos of the design set out / tape up process for a spray I’m doing on a new model I’m developing. The Turbo Channel Twin. When finished the stripe will emerge out of the bottom of the MR logo in the back 2/3 of the board."

Soon after, he followed up with the following post where he wrote:

"Progress photos of a spray I did. The Blue, Red & Yellow sections of the stripe have been sprayed. I started with Yellow, then sprayed the red & blue. When glassed the stripe will emerge out of the bottom of the MR logo in the back 2/3 of the board."

Next, he posted the following video:

And lastly, before the final reveal, he posted the following sequence of pics:
