Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie had a little too much fun!

In 2018, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie made their official debut as the trio of judges on American Idol. Since then, the group has kept viewers in stitches with their antics, and what they get up to in week 2 might just be one of the funniest moments yet.

In the clip, Perry stands up to headbang during an audition when she goes a little too hard and one of her hair extensions falls out. As Perry cries, "Oh no!" it's clear that Bryan sees her newly missing hair as an opportunity for himself.

Bryan curiously picks up the hair and attaches it to his own head as he begins to walk through the audition room. Perry asks Madison, the woman auditioning, "Can you just let him borrow the guitar for one second? I need him to sing 'Achy Breaky Heart.'"

The fun really begins around the 15-second mark in the clip below.

Bryan obliges and soon Perry and Richie have both joined in, singing along to the 1992 hit by Billy Ray Cyrus. At the conclusion, Richie jokes, "Oh man, that was... May we hope that you never get to that part of your career." He continues to speak to Madison as Perry runs toward him before commenting, "I know where she's going" as Perry attaches the hair extension to his head.

Richie keeps a straight face as he adds, "This is classic" and Perry cracks up. If the rest of this season is going to be anything like this, American Idol fans are definitely in for a fun—and funny—time.
