20 years ago …Lost’s 5’5” x 19 1/4” fish helped reshape (literally) the way we think about surfboards, when Andy Irons, Cory Lopez, Chris Ward and co proved you could rip a small board in heavy waves.

Despite all of the changes in surfboard technology, design and construction in the last two decades, the 5’5 fish is just as relevant today as it’s ever been.

Recently, Matt Biolos and the crew at …Lost Surfboards outfitted a handful of modern team riders with the classic 5’5” shape, and sent them around the US and beyond to put them through the paces. Click play above to watch Crosby Colapinto, Yago Dora, Eric Geiselman and a few others go nuts on surfing’s version of a Swiss Army knife. If you’re ever looking for a one-board quiver, this might be it.
