Watch Lana Condor and Noah Centineo Perform a Tension-Filled Promposal Scene From 'To All the Boys 3'
The very first look at the third To All the Boys film, Always and Forever, Lara Jean, is here. On Tuesday, stars of the hit Netflix franchise Lana Condor and Noah Centineo gave fans a sneak peek of the upcoming third movie during a livestream benefitting Black Lives Matter organizations. And the scene suggests everyone should be a little concerned about Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky's future.
The actors reprised their beloved teen characters during the Zoom event, hosted by Centineo's organization, Favored Nations. Proceeds from the livestream will support several organizations fighting system racism and police brutality, including Black Lives Matter, Know Your Rights Camp, Color of Change, and more.
The highly-anticipated scene placed Lara Jean and Peter back at their go-to diner for a late-night serving of blueberry pancakes. While Peter was distracted by the promise of whipped cream, Lara Jean seemed to have a more important topic on her mind. "I thought you’d get in, but I was honestly a little nervous about what would happen if you didn’t," Peter tells Lara Jean, perhaps alluding to a college acceptance. "Yeah, totally," she distractedly responds. "Listen, Peter, there’s something that I need to tell you."
But before Lara Jean is able to tell Peter what it is, he begins reminiscing about their first public outing as a fake couple in that very diner. "I couldn’t think of a better place to ask you, so, Lara Jean Covey: Will you go to prom with me?" Peter ends up asking. And while Lara Jean says yes and promptly changes the subject, fans are left with unanswered questions. "There’s some discord. I don’t really know if Peter is picking up what Lara Jean is putting down," Condor teased during the livestream.

Centineo and Condor initially announced the Zoom over Instagram Live last Tuesday. During their announcement, they revealed that they'd be reading scenes from all three movies in the To All the Boys trilogy, including the unreleased final film, though they had yet to pick which scenes at the time. Those choices were revealed over the course of Condor and Centineo's Zoom call.
From the original 2018 film, the co-stars read the diner scene where Peter rejects Lara Jean after receiving her secret love letter. The pair revealed that it was the first scene they filmed in the entire franchise and that it was where Peter's "Whoa, whoa, whoa" catchphrase originated, as Condor pointed out. "That was an insane throwback," Centineo admitted. As for the 2019 sequel, To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, they read Lara Jean and Peter's first date scene, complete with fork from Centineo's kitchen and virtual hand kiss between the co-stars.
In between each scene reading, clips from each film were shown and three special guests appeared. First, Gen-Z activist and president of Black Lives Matter Great New York Nupol Kiazolu spoke about how action against racial injustice extends further than the current moment. "What are you willing to sacrifice for the greater good of our nation and of our world?" she powerfully asked at the end of her remarks. Next Paine the Poet recited, "Life in a Moment," a piece inspired by the second scene that Condor and Centineo performed during the event. Then, the cast members interviewed Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors about her experience conceiving the movement, what defunding the police looks like, and how young people can be active in the Black Lives Matter movement.
The last two films in the To All the Boys franchise, based on Jenny Han's hit novels of the same name, were filmed back-to-back last year. A release date for the third movie has not been announced, but the book it is based on follows Lara Jean and Peter during their senior year. In the novel, Peter gets a lacrosse scholarship for the University of Virginia, while Lara Jean pictures herself attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
