Watch Kelly Clarkson and Carole King Perform ‘Where You Lead’ at Global Citizen Festival

When it comes to duets, it seems like Kelly Clarkson has pretty much performed with just about everyone. And over the weekend, she added one more iconic star to her list—Carole King.

The performance took place over the weekend in Central Park in New York City. The Kelly Clarkson Show host and the 77-year-old singer (!) took the stage at the Global Citizen Festival this past Saturday, Sept. 28, where they sang King’s hit song “Where You Lead.” And no surprise, they sounded amazing.

Watch the full video of their performance below.

The track (originally from King’s 1971 album Tapestry) may be recognizable to fans of the hit show Gilmore Girls, for which it served as the theme song.

Clarkson stunned in a knee-length black dress that featured hundreds of rhinestone studs. She accompanied the look with a belt, tights and black boots. King also chose black for the occasion, with a black velvet dress.

We’re crossing our fingers for King to make an appearance on Clarkson’s next “Kellyoke” segment.
