Here’s How to Watch ‘Joker’ Now

From Men's Health

  • Passing $1 billion in sales, the Joker was one of 2019's most successful films.

  • The movie's star, Joaquin Phoenix, won the Oscar for Best Actor.

  • Here's when Joker will be out on Blu-ray and DVD, and where to stream it now.

Good news for fans who missed that nihilistic abyss of a filmgoing experience—screening the Joker in theaters—and god help those who just want to watch it all over again: Joker is already out on Blu-ray and DVD and available to rent and stream on Amazon.

For all its dreary, angsty, stair-dancing emptiness, the film has broken $1 billion in box office revenue, making it the most commercially successful rated-R movie of all time. (Sorry, Deadpool.) But the film was also a critical success, leading the 2019 Oscar race with 11 total nominations. And director Todd Phillips is already rumored to be in conversations with Warner Bros. executives on a sequel to the film. In short: Joker is killing it.

If sequels are made, Joaquin Phoenix, who won the Oscar for Best Actor, would reprise the iconic role taken up by several actors, one of whom, Heath Ledger, posthumously received his own Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the part in 2009.

The film released on Blu-ray and DVD in January and, predictably, became the top seller.

For those wanting to catch the film before the awards this weekend, you can rent it on Amazon for $3.99. The abyss awaits.
