WATCH: Jane Fonda Teams With Jimmy Fallon for Hilarious 'Coastal Grandma' Skit

There's a major trend taking over social media—"coastal grandmother" aesthetic.

Now, Jane Fonda and Jimmy Fallon are getting in on the trend with a brilliant skit for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The clip, modeled after retro music videos, features Fallon (and his voluminous hair) breaking out his singing voice to serenade Fonda, who is decked out in the "coastal grandmother" vibe.

Fallon urges Fonda, "Tell me what to call this, I'm in agony," to which she cooly responds, "Coastal grandma."

In case you missed it, the "coastal grandmother" trend has been making the rounds on social media, with TikToker Lex Nicoleta commonly credited with coining the term.

But don't worry, you don't have to be an actual grandmother to take part, as the "coastal grandmother" trend is for everyone.

Stylist Samantha Brown, who spoke with TODAY about the "coastal grandmother" style, described it as "very neutral, classic staples in light shades ... it's very crisp, very clean."

Continuing, Brown said, "It's sort of like a nod to this timeless, moneyed — but not flashy — coastal grandma," calling it "very, very easy" fashion.

Big celebrities are even joining in on the fun, with Anne Hathaway posting a picture of herself on Instagram in a perfectly-styled "coastal grandmother" outfit standing in an elegant room.

She captioned the photo, "I have been ready for #coastalgrandmother chic since before TikTok was born. May this moment never end."

Diane Keaton, an often-mentioned inspiration for the trend, also had a laugh about it in a funny video posted to her Instagram.
