Watch:'Gilbert Teave and Tahurai Henry Surf Teahupo'o in 'RAW'

Teahupo'o has been selected as the battleground for the 2024 Paris Olympics where the world's best surfers will go for the gold.

But there might not be anything more beautiful than the Tahitian wave pure and raw, with free surfers in their element, the sound of the ocean, and of course its big, beautiful barrels.

That's the vibe Tahiti-based ocean ambassador and photographer, Tim McKenna, has captured in his latest short film titled "RAW- the Sound of Teahupo'o," featuring Gilbert Teave and Tahurai Henry just having fun getting pitted together.

The film was captioned:

Filmed in the heart of the jungle of French Polynesia, and close to the most beautiful wave in the world, famous photographer and filmmaker Tim McKenna has followed the surfing locals Gilbert Teave and Tahurai Henry during one special day.

Selected in many festivals and rewarded as "best short film," RAW-the sound of Teahupo'o is more than a classic video of Tahiti's iconic wave, it is a pure aesthetic and sound travel No music or blabla, just the amazing spectacle of mother nature.

The edit, which is just under four minutes, shows Teave and Henry first venturing with their boards barefoot through the jungle, past a waterfall, and eventually to the ocean where they paddle out to the iconic surf break.

As the caption says, there's no music, just the sounds of nature, the ocean, and even the sounds of a whale singing underwater.

Of course, the sound of perfect barrels dominates the film too, as both regular footers score perfect barrel after perfect barrel. For one sick barrel, Henry goes switch stance and still rips going goofy foot.

Click play and live the dream too.
