Watch the First Trailer for Seth MacFarlane's 'Ted' Prequel Series

?feature=shared

Ted – as in the raunchy talking teddy bear – is a name we haven't heard in years, seeing as the original Seth MacFarlane-penned film is now over a decade old. Ted is readying his triumphant return in the new Ted Peacock series, also written by MacFarlane, that is expected to drop next January.

MacFarlane will again be voicing Ted, with Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach starring as the Bennett family with Giorgia Whigham as cousin Blaire. Original film stars Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg have not been announced to return. Led by a “supersized" first episode, the series is set to "take fans on a “hilarious R-rated nostalgic journey back to the 90s." Find the full logline below:

“It’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Grimes and Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”

All seven episodes of the series will premiere on Peacock on January 11, 2024. Stream the trailer above.

Elsewhere in the entertainment world, Pedro Pascal is reportedly in talks to play Reed Richards in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four.
