Watch: Europe’s Biggest Contest Hosted Live by Snowboarding's Biggest Podcast

The Bomb Hole and Red Bull TV announced today a collaborative partnership to livestream the annual LAAX OPEN. Europe’s biggest snowboarding competition held every year in the Swiss Alps will be hosted by The Bomb Hole from their own studios for the first time on Red Bull TV. The action will kick off on January 20th.

Forget everything you know about traditional competition broadcast — this one is off-the-cuff, good times only broadcast. The livestream will include commentary from snowboarding legend and podcast host, Chris Grenier, as he sits down with icons of the sport, Mary Walsh and Jesse Burtner, during the snowboard slopestyle and halfpipe competitions. The livestream will also include exclusive phone calls and analysis from Scotty James, Anna Gasser, Marcus Kleveland, Maddie Mastro and more.

Snowboard Slopestyle

Saturday January 20th 13:00 – 15:00 CET (7:00am –9:00am EST)

Snowboard Halfpipe Saturday January 20th 18:00 – 20:00 CET (12:00pm – 2:00pm EST)

The collaboration for this contest was obvious because the LAAX Open holds a heavy weight within snowboarding’s core.

“Not only is it the forefront of progression for competitive snowboarding, but it’s that time of the year when the riders are in their prime and hungry,” said Chris Grenier. “They always build the best halfpipe, a world class halfpipe. Last year Valentino Guseli and Kaishu Hirano did backto-back highest airs ever done in a pipe, and that’s the type of thing that can only do down at LAAX.”

These will be available to replay on Red Bull TV after the contest.
