Watch Erika Jayne Get Ready for the Marc Jacobs Show and Thrive in Her “Fierce Fashion Fantasy”

Cue the spotlight: Erika Jayne has arrived. The dance-pop performer and star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had an epic New York Fashion Week, attending some of the biggest shows and even walking the runway for her friend Kyle Richards’s new line, Kyle + Shahida. “The fashion gods have shined down on us this week,” she said with her cool, monotone drawl in her hotel suite. Erika Jayne, whose real name is Erika Girardi, was getting ready to attend the Marc Jacobs show, and she was all about achieving a “fierce fashion fantasy” with her look, which was a silver sequined, feather-detailed cape and micro floral-print Victorian gown from Jacobs’s fall 2019 collection.

Jacobs and Girardi became friends after meeting years ago through mutual friend and fellow reality-TV personality J. Alexander. They’re so close, in fact, that she also attended the designer’s wedding to longtime partner Charly Defrancesco back in April. As she was getting her Marc Jacobs makeup applied last night, Girardi reminisced about their kindred spirits and spoke about the fact that when she “goes to a fashion show, it’s a different kind of performance.”

“I love it here,” she said of NYFW. “I thrive here.” Indeed, she does. She is a true fashion nerd, someone who adores getting dressed up and living out her wildest fashion fantasies. Jacobs is the perfect confidant for her in this quest, and yesterday, she did the most with an ensemble that was a little bit of a departure for the ultra-glam, sexy Erika Jayne.
