Watch English Fans Storm an Ikea After Defeating Sweden in the World Cup

England broke a decades-long cold streak on Saturday when they shut out Sweden in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. With that victory, England will advance to the semi-finals for the first time since 1990, and fans celebrated in the most English way possible: by rapturously trashing stuff.

Specifically, trashing affordable and easily assembled stuff. Someone captured video of England fans celebrating in an Ikea in the UK, jumping on furniture, toting beer, and chanting. At a glance, it looks like it could be a scene out of The Purge, but, thankfully, the whole thing was less about wanton destruction and more about celebration and maybe just a little bit of destruction.

The Ikea employees look understandably horrified, but the company gave a much friendlier response to the havoc on social media. In fact, they found a way to turn it into a promotion:

All in all, it's not the worst sales idea. And ransomed fish and chips sounds a lot better than clairvoyant octopus.
