Drew Barrymore and Justin Long had an emotional reunion on the set of her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show.
In a post shared on both Barrymore's and the talk show's respective Instagram pages, the host shed a few tears as she hugged her past lover, whom she dated on and off from 2007 to 2010. The pair went on to share an emotional exchange as they reminisced fondly on their relationship.
"I feel like we’ve been through so much together, too," Barrymore said. "When we used to talk and FaceTime I was always like, ‘You know, I’ve really grown up Justin.’ I always wanted to prove to you what a different person I was than when we dated."
"You were the best," Long replied.
Barrymore went on to say, "We had so much fun but we were more hedonistic. A little more immature. We would get together, we would break up, it was chaos, it was hella-fun."
"Fun chaos — well yeah, most hedonism is fun," said Long.
"Drew and @justinlong reunite TODAY on our Season 3 premiere 💛 Don’t miss it!" read the caption.

Fans were overjoyed with the reunion, taking to the comments to celebrate with the duo.
"This is so heartfelt and beautiful. If only we could all talk to our exes like this. It would be so healing!" one fan wrote.

Although the pair shared wonderful memories together, they officially broke it off in 2010. Barrymore is currently a single mom of two after her 2016 divorce from Will Kopelman. Long is currently dating actress Kate Bosworth.
Despite ending their relationship, the two have nothing but nice things to say about each other. Back in July, Barrymore spoke on her show about why Long is such a catch.
"He is funny. The sharpest wit," she said. "You want to know why he gets all the ladies? Well, there's a few reasons, but, he's brilliant. He'll just knock your socks off with laughter."
