Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Tackle a Nose Blackhead Bonanza
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper goes to town on a nose positively filled with blackheads.
Dr. Lee uses a comedone extractor to push out the "silly string" blackheads, forcing out several at once with each press.
A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black “head” when exposed to air.
In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—goes to town on a nose filled with blackheads. And when I say filled, I mean filled. Virtually every pore on the patient’s nose is compacted with gunk.
In the clip, Dr. Lee uses a comedone extractor is push out the nose blackheads. With each firm press, she forces out several stubborn blackheads at once. It truly looks like white silly string coming out of the patient’s pores.
"We're going to make your nose a little smaller," Dr. Lee says to the patient while extracting blackhead after blackhead.
The extractions not only result in a happy patient, but some happy popaholics who voiced their delight in the comments.
“I love some good ol’ nose blackheads,” one commenter wrote. Another added, “So satisfying.”
A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black “head” when exposed to air. The lighter portion of a blackhead is actually the same material as the black cap, only this material hasn’t been oxidized to create a black coloring.
