It’s a soft pop party! In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—extracts a series of soft pops with some goopy and gloriously gross results.

In the clip, Dr. Lee tackles cheek pops and nose pops, which are all removed using a comedone extractor. These spots on the face are common locations for soft pops, with all the skin concerns producing a similar white goop once popped. And one creative fan had an idea of what to do with all that soft pop gunk.

“You should save all of your squeezes and put them in a jar until the jar is full,” the fan commented. Actually, let’s not do that…

The pops featured in this video are likely small blackheads and whiteheads. A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black “head” when exposed to air. The white portion of a blackhead that you see in this video is actually the same material as the black cap, only this material hasn’t been oxidized to create a black coloring. Whiteheads, on the other hand, form when dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria become trapped within a pores.
