Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Squeeze Out a 'Bicep' Lipoma

From Men's Health

• In a new YouTube video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a large lipoma located near a woman's bicep.
• Lipomas are fatty lumps that tend to grow between the skin and the underlying layer of muscle.
• Most of the time, lipomas are benign and small—less than two inches wide—and don't always need to be removed.

Dermatologists aren't necessarily thought of as superheroes, but in her newest video, Dr. Pimple Popper explains, the line of work does lend itself to developing certain powers—such as some seriously impressive grip strength.

In the accompanying YouTube video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—performs a basic lipoma extraction in which she's able to demonstrate the force required to squeeze free the fatty lump, which is located adjacent to a woman's bicep.

The patient, she explains, also has antiphospholipid syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease, according to the Mayo Clinic—though it's unclear if this might be a potential cause of the lipoma. After wrestling with the growth for a few moments, Dr. Lee uses her scissors to cut it away, eventually freeing it from the patient's arm.

As she puts it, "It's like this happy medium—you can't pull too hard because they break and tear, and you want to get them out whole so you get it all. It's like a dance," she says. "And sometimes it's hard to tell if you get it all because it looks like regular fat."

The ability to see the difference, we can only hope, is one of her powers, too.
