According to the dermatologist and Instagram comments, this cyst looks like "cheesy cauliflower."
In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper — who is really dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee — has a compilation of pops she put together just for her "popaholic" fans. The video features a multitude of different pops like blackheads and mushy cysts, but she saves the best for last. Dr. Lee pops a "cheesy cauliflower" cyst that will satisfy all of her pop-loving fans.
The video begins with Dr. Lee popping several blackheads from a patient's skin. A blackhead forms when a hair follicle becomes plugged with dead skin and sebum. As she uses her comedo extractor, the contents of the blackheads spiral out like ribbons. She even has to cut out one of them free with a pair of scissors.
While those blackheads are classic and satisfying, it's Dr. Lee's last task in the video that'll have people wincing but unable to look away. The dermatologist has a cyst to pop on her patient's face, and she uses a punch tool to create a hole in the center. When she does, white contents immediately begin to spill forth.
Next, Dr. Lee uses a pair of tweezers to begin to pry both the cyst's contents and the sac from its home. According to the dermatologist, this growth's insides are "cheesy," and one Instagram user notes that it looks like "mini cauliflower."
