Sure, you’ve seen lipoma lumps before. But two grapefruit-sized masses on one man? Now that’s a rarity.

In an exclusive teaser for the newest episode of Dr. Pimple Popper on Discovery Plus, dermatologist Dr. Sandra Lee, MD has a socially-distanced meeting with James—and the duo of massive lumps to which his body is playing host.

In the clip, James tells the famed derm that he has a mass on the back of his neck that’s been there for 17 years, and an even larger one on his thigh that’s been around for seven years.

“You just got a lot of lumps, huh?” Dr. Lee says to James as he describes his skin concerns. And now, he says, he's finally ready to get them removed.

James made the decision to contact Dr. Lee because of his late wife. The pair used to watch Dr. Pimple Popper together, with James’ wife encouraging him to contact the doc to help remove the lumps that have troubled him for years. When his wife passed in February of COVID-19, James finally took the plunge.

Upon first inspection, Dr. Lee identifies the masses are lipomas. A lipoma is a fatty noncancerous growth that grows between the skin and muscle, and is usually a yellowish-orange color.

“I think that they definitely take away joy from you, and I feel like you need some joy these days," Dr. Lee tells James.

“Yeah, my self-esteem would probably go a lot higher and my confidence in myself, you know," James replies.

In another sneak peek of James’ actual procedure, Dr. Lee actually removes his bothersome leg mass. And if you love lumpy lipoma extractions, this squishy selection will satisfy you.

Like many lipoma removals, Dr. Lee relies on her hands as favored tools, wiggling her fingers around the mass to loosen it from its stronghold. Then, once the lipoma is losing its grip, the famed derm gives the mass a good squeeze—and, man, it gets squishy.

“It’s making noises now,” Dr. Lee says, as the lipoma squishes and squeaks. “It does remind me of chicken a lot, doesn’t it?”

Well, looks like now is a good time to rethink that chicken dinner you had planned.

Watch James’ full story and procedure on the next episode of Dr. Pimple Popper on Discovery Plus, which airs Wednesday, Aug. 18.
