In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pops a stubborn upper back cyst that is buried deep. And the contents looks like gray cooked ground beef. Yum.

In the clip, Dr. Lee makes a deep incision into the thick skin of the back and proceeds to squeeze the mass beneath. Dr. Lee describes the growth as a “shy cyst” in the caption of the video, and it’s easy to see why. The contents of the cyst are slow to emerge, making this mass especially stubborn. Dr. Lee even needs to widen her original incision to make sure all the cyst gunk is gone for good.

The contents that emerge from the cyst are quite an interesting and disturbing color and texture. With a gray-like hue and a chunky look, the gunk is certainly a sight to see.

“It looks like cooked ground beef,” one creative fan suggested.

The growth featured in this video is likely an epidermoid cyst. This type of cyst — which is often filled with skin cells and keratin — commonly occurs on the face, neck, and back. Epidermoid cysts most often have white contents, but can be darker in color depending on the melanin content in a person's skin.
