This extraction is sticky and sweet. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—removes a series of jammy blackheads from a patient’s cheek. And the contents may just remind you of ooey gooey honey.

In the clip, Dr. Lee nicks two especially large blackheads on the patient’s cheek with a scalpel, hoping to give them an avenue of escape. She then uses a comedone extractor to press down on the growths, forcing out sticky compacted contents. What comes out is golden-colored goo that has been festering under the surface. Now you get the honey comparison.

To close out the extraction video, the famed dermatologist scrapes the extractor across the patient’s cheek to force out countless smaller blackheads whose time has come.

“Omg, these WANTED out,” one fan commented on the clip. Another fan added, “My word. Those are scrumptiously satisfying.”

A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black “head” when exposed to air. The lighter portion of a blackhead is actually the same material as the black cap, only this material hasn’t been oxidized to create a black coloring.
