In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—pops a patient’s sizable cyst, which is filled with creamy, chunky contents. When squeezed, this mass actually "blooms" like a pure white rose bud. The display is both gorgeous and grotesque, according to fans. You'll certainly agree—at least with the latter.

In the clip, Dr. Lee makes an incision into the growth, giving the contents an avenue of escape. The famed dermatologist then squeezes the cyst to push out its insides, causing the mass to “bloom” like a flower.

“All that skin that was tucked under there just gave you a nice little rose,” Dr. Lee says of the pop. She even puts the funky floral display in slow motion for good measure.

“What a beautiful flower,” one commenter wrote. It sure is something.

The cyst featured in this video is likely an epidermoid cyst, which usually contains a collection of wet dead skin cells and keratin. Though it’s unclear where this cyst is located on the patient, epidermoid cysts often occur on the face, neck, and body.
