Good morning, socially distanced, self-isolated world! For those of you who have, in the last week finished all your Netflix picks, revisited all your old favorites on Disney Plus and even considered stopping to signing up for CBS All Access, Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—aka Dr. Pimple Popper—has a treat to occupy a few of your idle minutes. In a new Instagram upload, the dermatologist and TLC star puts the clampdown on two stubborn pimples on the back of an older gentleman’s earlobes.

Lee first quizzes the man about why he hasn’t been taking the proverbially hammer to his skin conditions himself.

“It’s tough because you can’t see them certainly behind your ear certainly … but what’s the reason why you didn’t squeeze the ones on your nose again?” she asks. “You had so many.”

“I tried and nothing happens,” he responds.

The ears and nose are particularly fertile ground for pimples. Both are rich in lubrication and oil glands and the nose particularly has large pores that can clog up to create some sturdy pimples.

Indeed, when Lee tries to squash the pimples herself, she finds them fiercer than expected.

The two behind the ear “are actually a little bit stubborn,” she notes, as she tries to ground them out with a comedone extractor. Later, she reaches for a scalpel, figuring that it’s easier to root out a bloody mess than a pair of persistent pimple.
