Look at that smear! In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper—aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD—removes a pilar cyst stuck to a patient’s forehead. To get the lima bean-like growth out, Dr. Lee uses a unique technique that makes the cyst fly high.

In the clip, Dr. Lee uses a “suspension stitch” to hook the growth, pulling the cyst out by the long stitch thread. With a few good tugs, the derm is able to easily get under the growth, snipping the entire thing free. Suddenly, the encapsulated cyst is dangling mid-air by a thread. It's truly something to see.

Dr. Lee tells the patient the growth looks like a “lima bean,” which is startlingly accurate. But this imaginative man has other comparisons in mind.

“It’s like I had cream cheese in my forehead,” the patient says, as Dr. Lee shows him the creamy white contents inside the growth.

Pilar cysts are growths on the scalp that contain excess keratin, which is the protein that makes up your hair and nails. They are benign, and usually are not painful.
