Watch the Camila Cabello "Havana" Ad That Was Banned for Being Too Scary

Watch with a nightlight on.

When speaking about Camila Cabello, "scary" is one of the adjectives that would last come to mind, but this brand new Spotify commercial proves us wrong.

In the 1-min clip, three friends can be seen having breakfast nonchalantly whilst listening to their “wake up” playlist, including Camila’s hit “Havana”, as another roommate urges them to “turn it up.” But things quickly take a dark turn as every time “Havana” plays, a Chucky-style eyeless diabolical doll rises to the grabby track haunting the group.

"I know it’s a great song with its catchy melody and sing-along lyrics but we cannot play that song," one of the friends exclaims after their futile attempts to resist to the rhythm. In the end, despite their efforts, the friends really can’t stop listening to the tune, and, I mean, we really don’t blame them — it is that catchy.

The spooky commercial promoting “killer songs you can’t resist” has been banned from U.K. television as the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) has labeled it as “distressing,” Billboard reports.

A Spotify spokesperson has addressed the controversy directly in a statement, per Billboard: "We acknowledge the ruling from the ASA and regret any distress the ad may have caused the complainant. It was created as a tongue-in-cheek horror parody — intended to be a humorous ad that demonstrated just how catchy some tracks can be. We take our responsibilities as a marketer very seriously and continue to be mindful of the ASA's guidance on the effective and appropriate targeting of advertising campaigns."

Watch the commercial for yourself (at your own risk). We’re not sure Camila herself would be a fan, given her relationship with scary movies, but alas, ‘tis the season to be spooky...
