Watch: Brazilian Pro Surfer Italo Ferreira Opens Up in This New Edit

Brazilian surfing Gold Medalist and World Champ Italo Ferreira has come full circle since last summer.
In August, he endured a season-ending injury at the Corona Open J-Bay that stopped him from surfing in the Shiseido Tahiti Pro. After being out of the water for six weeks, he healed up well, got back in the water, and just kicked off the WSL’s 2024 Championship Tour surfing in the Lexus Pipe Pro.
In the edit below, one of his sponsors explores "where Ferreira came from and offers a more intimate look into his life outside the water."
Cariuma shared the video above and captioned it, writing:

Ferreira's known for winning the 2019 World Champion title during the WSL Championship Tour and for taking the gold medal in the 2020 Olympics in Japan, but the edit above dives a little deeper.
In the short film, he opens up, saying:
"I usually think about what I've been through.
"Being able to enjoy a little bit more the place that I live and having the people that I like and love around me makes me feel more comfortable.
"This gives me more fuel and willpower. I give it all to reach and conquer my goals. If I let it go, it's over."
