Portuguese Big wave surfer Nic Von Rupp rides some of the world's heaviest waves and is also a pretty great travel guide as seen in the latest season of his surf and travel YouTube series,"Portugal Back to Back."

So far he's taken viewers to  Aveiro, Oeste, Peniche, the Azores, Algarve, Lisbon, and Ireland, and Morocco.

In the latest vlog below, von Rupp takes a break from big wave surfing to "hunt down those legendary right-hand breaks!"

Von Rupp captioned his latest vlog above:

"The call for southern Morocco was undeniable. It was time to hunt down those legendary right-hand breaks! Anchor Point in Taghazout was on fire, delivering some fun off-shore waves.

"The perfect playground for the team. Big thanks to Othmane Choufani for hooking us up in his own backyard."

In the episode, von Rupp and crew share "another chapter" of their Moroccan surf adventure. Many of his videos resemble a travel show, but this one is just over five minutes long and is nearly all surfing, which comes from Von Rupp, Freddie Meadows, Othmane Choufani, Holly Wawn, Kolohe Andino, and Taro Watanabe.

Closing the video he says:

"It's a wrap. Been scoring in Morocco. Good to be back here, it's been so long."

Viewers were stoked, check out a few comments below:

"Great video Von Nic!…. The girl holly made all the guy’s look weak… She had some power in her turns!"

"Sick song ... I was just there OMG place is bad ass but I can't handle the crowds SMH lol"

"I've been to taghazout/tamraght a couple of times before but I never felt comfortable enough to surf anchor point with my skill level (although I've been told that I should definitely try it)..... maybe next time :D"

Writer's note: I've also been to Taghazout, for two weeks in February, 2020. Like the viewer above, I didn't surf Anchor Point since it was double overhead and pumping. But it's a super cool place with lots of fun waves and I recommend adding it to your bucket list.
