Watch Bebe Rexha's Electrifying Live Performance of "In the Name of Love"
Thanks be to Bebe Rexha. The songwriter-slash-singer has given us persistent 2015 earworm "Me, Myself and I" (not to mention Eminem and Rihanna's "Monster" and Selena Gomez's "Champion," both of which Rexha wrote)-and some of the best platinum hair in the biz. The pop performer's concert special will air on AT&T's AUDIENCE Network (via DIRECTV Ch 239 and U-verse Ch 1114) on December 9 at 9 PM, but the solo rider is giving ELLE.com a sneak peek at the intimate performance: an exclusive clip of her heartwrenching hit "In the Name of Love." We've all done things we might regret in the name of love, but when we asked Rexha why she wrote this particular paean to devotion, her answer was simple: "It's love that keeps us going and motivates us even when we don't know what the outcome will be. And even if the relationship doesn't last, you can still remember back to the time when you would have done anything for that person."
For Rexha, 2016 has been a fun year, what with hosting and performing at the MTV European Music Awards just last month. "It was crazy and I was extremely nervous but it ended up being one of the best nights of my life," she told us. But there's more–way more-to come: "In 2017, I can't wait to release my album, All Your Fault. I'm so proud of it and just dying for everyone to hear it."
