If you've been obsessed with The Bear's second season, this list is for you. But for those who need a refresh, here you go: the series follows a fine-dining chef, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), who returns home to Chicago to help run the family's Italian beef shop. After deciding to turn the place into a fancy restaurant, Carmy now how to deal with the complexities of working with family, combatting the fear of failure, and completely renovating an entire restaurant up to code by deadline. No sweat, right?
Just like working in a real-life kitchen, the show is anything but relaxing. It keeps the tension high—which is perfect for binging (food pun intended). But in the middle of the family drama and kitchen panic, The Bear also tells an excellent story of perseverance, trauma, and discovering what keeps you going. If you've already burned through both seasons, don't worry, we've got you covered. Here are a few shows worth watching if you like The Bear.
Ramy
Ramy follows the life of Ramy Hassan (played by Ramy Youssef), a young American Muslim man navigating life in two worlds. The Bear's creator, Christopher Storer, directed a few episodes of the Hulu series. Later on, Youssef returned the favor, directing the Copenhagen-set episode of The Bear Season Two.

Kitchen Nightmares
Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares is a masterclass in kitchen renovations. It's a reality TV classic for a reason: in each episode, the celebrity chef runs around a failing kitchen (for a full week!) and repeatedly insults them... in an attempt to fix their failing business. Is it worth the abuse? It is for me.

BEEF
BEEF may not actually be about Italian beef, but the intensity of the series definitely hits the same fever pitch as The Bear. The series follows two strangers (played by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong) who—after getting in a road rage incident— continue to drive each other crazy.

Whiplash
OK, so Whiplash may be a movie and not a TV show, but nothing else matches the intensity of The Bear's wildest kitchen nightmares. A jazz drummer hitting the cymbals so hard that his hands bleed? That's a kind of dangerous dedication that the world's craziest chefs would support.

If you think a week of cleaning forks in The Bear was rough, you're not ready for Jiro.

Gentefied
Though this dramedy may not carry the same tension at The Bear, Gentefied is still a great add to your list. The show follows three Mexican-American cousins all working in their family's taco shop in Los Angeles. Following the same themes of family and food as The Bear, this show follows its characters as they try to move their taco shop into a new age—all while dealing with the challenges of gentrification. Gentefied ran for a wonderful two seasons before its cancellation last year.
