The coronavirus pandemic has impacted upon so many aspects of everyday life, and that includes graduation ceremonies. While students would usually be graduating and listening to inspiring commencement speeches in person right now, ceremonies have been moved online, as much of the world continues to practice social distancing.

YouTube's Class of 2020 streamed on June 7, 2020, and featured a whole host of celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Yara Shahidi, Demi Lovato, Billy Porter, Kerry Washington, Katy Perry, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé. As if that list was exciting enough, Barack and Michelle Obama decided to kick off the entire event with a joint speech, which was incredible.

Barack started by saying, "Congratulations to the Class of 2020." Then Michelle told the audience, "This is a huge day for all of you, and we couldn't be more excited to be celebrating with you all today."

She continued, "While you might not get the experience of sweating under your cap and gown in the hot sun, or getting embarrassed by your family yelling out your name when you walk across the stage, you still have all those people with you today, just like they've been with you this whole journey. Rooting you on, pushing you to grow, and offering you a hand if you needed it."
