Watch the Backstreet Boys Honor Aaron Carter in Emotional Tribute During Concert

The boy band honored Aaron Carter days after his death.
The Backstreet Boys paid a special tribute to Nick Carter's brother, Aaron Carter, during their concert at the O2 arena on Nov. 6.
The band paused midway through the show to honor Aaron, who passed away on Saturday, Nov. 5 in his California home. He was only 34.
The emotional tribute began during the song "No Place" as pictures of the band's family members appeared on the screen behind them. Nearing the end of the song, the screen went black and showed photos of Nick and Aaron, ending with an image of Aaron with text that read: “Aaron Carter 1987-2022.”
“Thank you so much, London,” Kevin Richardson said. “That was our latest and very last single off of the ‘DNA’ album. And that song is very special to us because that song is about family. And everybody in here, we all grew up together."
“We’ve been through highs and lows, ups and downs. You guys have been through it with us. We’ve been through it with you and we thank you for taking us on that journey with you. We thank you for being a part of the Backstreet family for 29 years. We thank you for all the love for all the years,” he said
During Richardson's speech, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell rushed over to embrace Nick as wiped tears away.

"Tonight we got a little bit of heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday," Richardson said. "We just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize that Nick's little brother, Aaron Carter, passed away yesterday at 43 years old," though it was clear he misspoke in the moment and meant 34 years old.
"He was a part of our family and we thank you guys for all the love and all the well wishes and all the support," he added.
"We'd like to dedicate this next song to our little brother Aaron Carter. You will be missed brother," Dorough announced before the band launched into the song, "Breathe."
