Andrea Bocelli helped commemorate the coronation of King Charles III with a performance of a lifetime.

The Sunday after the British monarch's crowning ceremony, millions tuned in to see the Coronation Concert from the grounds of Windsor Palace. As one of the many famous faces who performed during the event, the Italian singer graced the stage alongside famed Welsh musician Sir Bryn Terfel, who fans already heard sing during the weekend festivities. As the acclaimed operatic duo stood beside one another, they sang a moving performance of "You'll Never Walk Alone," the hit song from the 1945 Rogers and Hammerstein musical Carousel that Andrea covered for his 2020 album Believe.

Shortly after Andrea and Bryn sang in front of the King, Queen Camilla and the royal family, Andrea's social media team uploaded a clip from the spectacle on Instagram. "Andrea Bocelli and Sir Bryn Terfel singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at the King Charles III Coronation Concert," captioned the video shared on May 7.

Because the Coronation Concert wasn't streamed in the United States, people were moved upon seeing the Instagram snippet from Andrea's performance. As a result, they immediately began singing their praises in the comments section.

"This was spine-tingling 👏," one person wrote. "What a performance 👏. First class ❤️," another follower added. "It was absolutely brilliant and so much so it made me cry 😢! Beautiful song and magical singing!" a different user raved.

As for why Andrea and Bryn performed "You'll Never Walk Alone" during the concert, Andrea told Entertainment Tonight that Charles himself requested the track.

"The king asked for the song 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," he explained ahead of the big night. "I think he likes this song also for the meaning ... 'You Will Never Walk Alone' means you will never be alone. It's an encouragement, for himself."

That's not all he had to say about the chance to sing for Charles and Camilla. In an interview with People, Andrea disclosed how the couple has long shown their love for the arts.

"The King and the Queen Consort have demonstrated their appreciation of art and good music—which are gifts from the heavens, and that, as they lift the spirit, contribute to spreading good," he said. "This is per se already a reason for all of us to be excited."
