In an interview on Chattr’s “The Entertainment Hotline” podcast in October 2023, The Amazing Race Australia host Beau Ryan discussed the latest celebrity edition of the series and what made it different from the last. “We had 20 teams last season, which meant we had about 170 people on the road – that’s how many people there are. And then just repeat that every day for a month while it just gets hotter,” he continued. “Southeast Asia is [on] another level. Like Malaysia, Borneo, Cambodia, Laos, it is just ridiculous. And it tests people.”
