Very few characters have gone from loathed to adored by fans in quite the same way as Ahsoka Tano. When first introduced in the animated prequel series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, many viewers wrote her off as an annoying new addition to the vast fictional universe, but the young Jedi's journey eventually became one of the more compelling storylines in the wider Star Wars franchise.

Now, the dual lightsaber-wielding warrior is finally taking center stage in her own live action series on Disney+. The first four episodes of Ahsoka have thrilled fans with high-stakes action sequences and a whole panoply of other characters making the transition from animation to live action: aside from Rosario Dawson as the titular character, we've also seen Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), and even a holographic glimpse of Star Wars: Rebels protagonist Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi).

Episode 4 of Ahsoka ended on a massive cliffhanger, with Ahsoka seemingly falling to her death after a battle with Baylon, only to awaken in the World Between Worlds, where she is greeted by the spirit of her old friend and mentor... Anakin Skywalker, a.k.a. Darth Vader, played by returning actor Hayden Christensen.

So, where the hell do we go from here?

Episode 5 will be airing in theaters

Hotly tipped to be the biggest installment of the season, both in terms of emotional stakes and also visual spectacle, the fifth episode of Ahsoka is getting the cinematic treatment. Select theaters are offering screenings of Episode 5, including a couple of IMAX showings, which means that, should the live action version of Grand Admiral Thrawn make his debut in the episode, fans can watch the pivotal moment on the biggest screen possible.
