Watch: Ace Pelka Does Slappy 'Hurricane' Under Southern California's Hurricane Hilary Downpour

A little hurricane warning was not going to get in the way of Ace Pelka's Sunday session as Hurricane Hilary's rain swept through southern California for what felt like the entire day. Down on the boardwalk in Oceanside, California, Ace slipped off his shoes and caught a few tricks (including a slappy hurricane, makes sense) during the downpour.

The hippy jump in front of the cop? Over a Road Closed barrier, nonetheless? Perfect. Consider it the soaking wet cherry on top.

Simply captioning the post, #hurricanehilary, there really couldn't have been anything more appropriate, I suppose. Sometimes less is more. Plus, what should he say? While the majority of SoCal residents were wrapped up in blankets, candles lit, making soups and stews (as if it wasn't still 80 degrees and muggy as all hell outside), Ace took to the streets to do what he does best.

Some people just can't be stopped.

There's something innocent about this clip, like the feeling of being a little kid and playing in the rain. I can really admire Ace's youthfulness here (and in all of his clips, if I'm being honest). Why not go out in the rain and skate? If you have a spare board and a little childish motivation, you could've been like Ace, in the thick of the storm, battling on.

Hats off to this curb crusher for never taking a day off. Rain or shine, Ace will provide. When it rains, it pours.

Also: I thought hurricane season was over! (Extra credit to anyone who knows that quote.)
