How to Watch the 2024 Golden Globe Awards

Awards season is finally here!

Tonight, the 81st Annual Golden Globes will air, celebrating the best of television and movies of last year. On the film side, Barbie leads the nominations with 9 nods, and on the television side, Succession takes the lead with 9 as well. There will be two categories making their debut—Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.

Numerous stars are expected to attend the show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and we'll have plenty of red coverage later on Town & Country.

When are the Golden Globe Awards?

The awards show will air live on CBS tonight, Sunday, January 7, beginning at 8 p.m. eastern (5 p.m. Pacific). It will also stream on Paramount+. If you have Paramount+ with Showtime, or if you just have regular Paramount+, you'll be able to watch it tomorrow. The broadcast will be three hours long.

Who is hosting?

Comedian Jo Koy is hosting the Globes. He's put out four comedy specials, and authored a memoir, Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo.

"I’ve stepped onto a lot of stages around the world in my career, but this one is going to be extra special. I’m so excited to be hosting the Golden Globes this year," Koy said in a statement after the news of his hosting gig was announced. "This is that moment where I get to make my Filipino family proud. Mahal Kita (Google it)!"

Announced presenters include Amanda Seyfried, Jonathan Bailey, Angela Bassett, Gabriel Macht, George Lopez, Julia Garner, Justin Hartley, Michelle Yeoh, Patrick J. Adams, and Will Ferrell.
