How to Watch the 2021 Emmy Awards
TV's biggest night is happening this weekend with the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, which will honor the best in TV and streaming on Sunday, September 19. After last year's Zoom show, which launched a thousand memes from Jennifer Aniston putting out a literal fire, things are back to normal (sort of) with an in-person, indoor-outdoor ceremony set to take place at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.
The show will start at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. and air on CBS as well as Paramount+, the service that replaced the now-defunct CBS All Access. If you're not subscribed to that specific platform and can't nab over-the-air antenna signal, you can catch the show on YouTubeTV, FuboTV, Hulu Plus Live TV, and AT&T TV, which all include CBS.

Back in July, This Is Us's Ron Cephas Jones and his daughter, Jasmine Jones, announced the nominations, which included major wins for Disney+, Netflix, and HBO as well as a bunch of groundbreaking firsts, like MJ Rodriguez's nomination for Pose. Kate Winslet, Anya Taylor-Joy, Michaela Coel, and Elizabeth Olsen are all nominated, upping the star factor for this year's big event — and with the promise with a real-life red carpet and some of the pomp and circumstance that comes with awards season, the Emmys are the unofficial kickoff to the slew of shows that culminate with the Oscars in March. Cedric the Entertainer will have emcee duties and if this year's show is any indication of what's to come with red carpets, glitz, and glamour, we should be in for Hollywood to be back to its high-gloss, over-the-top old self.
