This year's HGTV Urban Oasis 2023 is located right in Louisville's own Paristown Pointe neighborhood. Built by Louisville’s Twin Spires Remodeling and decked out by HGTV interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn, this 1920s craftsman-style home was the perfect fit for HGTV's annual project.

"HGTV Urban Oasis 2023 maximizes in-town living with thoughtful details including the addition of an expansive carport built in the porte-cochère style. Porte-cochères, or 'coach gateways,' are typical of 18th and 19th-century mansions and provide vehicles a space for arriving and departing with cover from the elements," according to its website.

Here's what to know about the home:

“The house is from the 1920s,” Flynn told The Courier Journal, adding that the surrounding homes hold historic significance and architectural relevance.

“We were really stoked to come in and preserve the actual footprint of this historic craftsman — but curb appeal-wise, make it up to date, polish it, make it shine, and give it character,” Flynn told the Courier Journal.

In the design process, Flynn made sure to incorporate local and equine-inspired art as a nod to Louisville and Kentucky, including artwork by Lexington-based artist Dafri.

“We really wanted to make sure that every room captured the essence of Kentucky, whether it was in an abstract way or a literal way,” Flynn told the Courier Journal.

Flynn added that the home’s charm is about more than its four walls and design elements, it’s all about location.

“You all have a nice quality of life, and I’m excited to share it with the rest of the country," he previously said of the home and neighborhood.
