"Hot dogs are not only high in unhealthy fats and calories, but they are highly processed with pro-inflammatory ingredients. This can really make it difficult to lose weight and even lead to fat gain. That is why, when you cut out this meat, you can reduce abdominal and overall body fat," Feder notes.

However, it is best to stick to fresh lean cuts of meat instead of processed meat. This can be things like chicken breast, turkey breast, pork tenderlois, sirloins, bison, and fish," says Feder.
