Want to learn to play disc golf or pickleball? Presentation among local events in April

COSHOCTON − Spring has sprung and more activities are being scheduled in the local areas for folks to enjoy. Here are just five events upcoming this month.

● A presentation on how to play disc golf and pickleball will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the large meeting room of the Coshocton County District Library, 655 Main St. Learn the rules and tips for playing two of the fastest growing recreational sports in the United States. The library has sets for both that can be checked out with a library card.

● The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce will have its annual online auction from April 15 to 20. Proceeds benefit chamber of commerce events and marketing of local businesses. Items can be viewed and bids made at coshoctonchamber.com. The chamber is also holding its monthly Coffee and Commerce presentation at 8 a.m. April 24 at Central Ohio Technical College, 200 N. Whitewoman St. Guest speaker is Morgan Hammond of Split Ends Salon. She will talk about empowering your employees.

● The Bottles and Books Adult Book Fair will be from 5 to 8 p.m. April 26 at Rust Décor, 341 Main St. There will be more than 30 books available with five to 10 copies of each with prices ranging from $10 to $15. There will also be stations for making bookmarks and Leafy Charms permanent jewelry. Snacks, coffee, wine, cocktails and more will be available.

● A spring craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at Coshocton Village Inn and Suites, 115 N. Water St. There will be various vendors with homemade crafts and others items. A food truck will be on-site.

The Coshocton Community Choir will present its spring concert, Do Not Be Afraid, at 3 p.m. April 28 in McKinley Auditorium of Coshocton High School, 1205 Cambridge Road. The choir was formed in 1971 and features more than 100 singers. Additionally there is the Coshocton Singers for elementary age children and the Youth Chorale for teens.
