If you or a loved one is already lucky enough to own a PS5, Walmart has some great deals to help you fill out your library of titles. And one of the best games for the system so far is only $30 right now. That would be Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is a sort-of followup to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. Players of that game might remember that Miles had powers by the end, and this title gets to be his debut adventure. It’s not quite a full sequel, but that just means it’s short and sweet, perfect for busy adults to get their game on.

One gamer says he’ll “play it again and again and again.” But even older players got in on the fun, with one who says it’s a ton of fun and allows me to fulfill my fantasy of running around the neighborhood in tights while fighting crime.” A little weird, but that’s what video games are for!

Well, with a bit of a facelift for the PlayStation 5. This is actually a full remake, with graphics, audio and everything else redone to look “amazing” on your next-gen system. And it's only $40 right now, a 43 percent discount!

Shoppers say it’s “a wonderful launch title that shouldn’t be overlooked.” And though it’s “not for beginners,” another gamer offers some sage advice: “[The] key to [the] game is patience, guarding, dodging and backstab. Take your time, enjoy the beautiful detailed scenery and don't rush into a fight and you'll love this game.” We’ll take that to heart!

Still rocking a PS4? There are still a lot of great games being released for it, and plenty of deals for titles old and new! One in particular you should definitely pick up is Final Fantasy VII Remake. The original was an instant classic upon its release back in 1997, and this remake takes everything gamers love about it and gives it a super slick facelift.

A fan of the original says even though they hesitated to buy this new one, they were “not disappointed,” adding that it’s “faithful to the original story with a twist! Better storytelling with the improved graphics.” The only caveat is that this is only part one, but the same player asks, “Have you experienced mourning the end of a game because it was so good? This time, I took my time to play this and hope there will be many parts of this story.”

Before you take a swing with Miles Morales, we really recommend you give the original title with Peter Parker a try — and now is the moment, while it's 50 percent off. It’s a great story that follows Spider-Man as he tries to defend New York from the Sinister Six — villains including the Rhino and Doctor Octopus. But even when you’re not continuing the story it’s just lots of fun swinging from building to building and beating up the bad guys!

One player enthuses, “I can't stop playing this game. As a Spider-Man fan, they capture all of the aspects that make a great game (side quests, main quests, multiple fighting styles) and capture the humor and character depth of Spider-man and Peter Parker. Love it.” That pretty much nails why we love it too!

Hades won a lot of awards back in 2018, and it’s still one of the best experiences you can get on Switch, as well as an affordable one, especially with this sale. Step into the shoes of Zagreus, the son of the Greek god Hades, as he tries to make his way out of the Underworld one death at a time. Yep, you’re going to die a lot, but that’s part of the fun!

Shoppers love it, with one calling it “amazing” and expressing appreciation for the inclusion of a “God Mode.” If you’re having trouble getting through the game but just want to enjoy the story, you can “fly through combat” and “steadily become more more powerful as you die and restart so that eventually you'll pass by challenges much easier.” A game where you don’t have to be a super good player to finish it? We dig it!

Vikings are cool, and we’re not just saying that because they live way up north! This epic title lets you live the life of a Norseman… or Norsewoman (you get to choose your gender). You can go on raids, fight vicious battles and experience a grand, sweeping saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe. But you don’t need to be familiar with the series to get started — in fact, this game is a great starting point for this immersive series, with a fun history lesson to boot!

Gamers certainly love it, with one shopper calling it “one of the best open world games I have played.” That’s because “there is so much to do in this game, so many ways to build your character, so many ways to engage in combat. The graphics are amazing and finally a game where you can play as a Viking! This game has over 100 hours of gameplay. Highly recommended!”
