Best toys for babies and toddlers

Toys from Fisher-Price's Laugh & Learn line are consistent hits with younger kids (and their parents) thanks to their ability to grow along with children. This adorable DJ table is no exception. It features a piano with three ways to play, lights, a number pad, mic and so many buttons for kids to press and fiddle with. Tots can even record a message and mix it into a song! This toy rests on the ground when your child is younger and then converts into a table when they're standing. "The DJ Table has been an immediate hit with my two-year-old," raved a shopper. "From the moment I set up the legs and installed the microphone, he's loved playing the piano, sliding the knobs and dancing to the groovy tunes."

Modeled after the beloved Australian cartoon, this 13-inch plush is ready to be your child's new BFF. Bluey has a hidden secret — she says several phrases like "for real life" and "check it out" when you squeeze her belly. Worth noting: There's also a talking Bingo in case you want to pick up a set. One reviewer called the toy "adorable," adding, "my grandson loves this sweet little Aussie pup and her family! Would recommend to anyone with a Bluey fan in their lives."

If you have a little one of a certain age, we bet you're clocking in lots of Cocomelon hours on Netflix — the popular animated series teaches kids about sharing, counting and letters without being too obvious. The brand's Learning Bus features a Music Mode (sing along to "Wheels on the Bus" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star) and Learning Mode (numbers, colors and phonics games). There's also has a handle on the back kids can use to push it from spot to spot. "This is the ultimate gift for the Coco, elon lover in your life — which is every toddler in the world right now. My little one is obsessed with this bus. He loves to sing along with the songs and the tokens are a big hit with him. I ask him to find a letter and after he finds it he can put it inside the bus. I love how educational and interactive it is," said a five-star reviewer.

Imagine being a kid and getting your very own bumper car — with a Spiderman theme, no less. This ride-on electric vehicle races, spins and bumps into things. Kids operate the car with the help of joysticks while hanging in the driver's seat. (Because you're wondering, the car is covered on all sides by soft bumpers that are safe for your walls and furniture.) Once playtime is over, just plug it in to recharge. "We got this for my three-year-old for her birthday to give her something to do during the cold, winter days," said a five-star reviewer. "We have a basement converted to a playroom. She was able to figure out the controls pretty quickly and she is having a blast zooming around. Battery lasts pretty long and it is easy to charge."

Barbie is having a serious moment right now thanks to the hit movie, and her Dreamhouse is just as iconic as ever. This three-story playhouse boasts 75 pieces, along with a working elevator, toilet that makes flushing sounds, oven that flips open and more. Flip on Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night" and recreate that choreographed scene from the movie — with your kid, of course. "I wish I could live in this Barbie Dreamhouse," raved a happy customer. "My husband and I had fun building it and our daughter loves the Dreamhouse so much — she says it's 'awesome!' The slide, the sounds, the colors are so fun. The tiny accessories and the style of the Dreamhouse remind me of being a little girl."

Basketball, soccer, golf...it's all here in this three-piece set. Just set up the basketball hoop-slash-soccer net and let kids have at it. The base has a hidden feature: a golf hole. The kit comes with four balls and a golf club for instant fun. "This is a very versatile play set and can be used indoors, [or] outdoor in the porch or grass," shared a fan. "Looks amazing and is built very well. Has different height settings and will last till the kids outgrow it."

Kids want a pet but you don't? Bitzee is basically a modern form of a Tamagotchi, with 15 electronic pets in one case. The pets react to touch and kids can even earn more by interacting with the ones they have. The best part? You don't have to clean up after them. "We're enjoying taking care of our Bitzee digital pets," said a shopper. "This toy is so easy to play with and has been a hit with both my son and daughter. These interactive pets respond to your actions with sounds and reactions. You can pet them, feed them, clean up after them, play with them, evolve them and earn treats to attract new pets! Even as an adult, I enjoyed playing with this toy since it brought back childhood memories when I had my own pocket-sized virtual pet."

Kids can't get enough of Squishmallows, the super soft, highly huggable plushies that come in a range of shapes. Feed their need for squish with this six-pack — it features the "varsity squad" of Nya, Rocket, Benedict, Mario, Dane and Armie, each topping out at just two inches tall. "Perfect gift for those who love Squishmallows and Squishville," said a fan.

Hot Wheels isn't messing around with this toy. The Rhinomite is a remote-controlled, dinosaur-themed vehicle that also flips open to become a ramp and launcher for an included toy truck. Because why not? The RC car also does wheelies and can reach speeds of up to sisx miles per hour. "This toy is epic," said a fan. "It was much bigger than I had anticipated and had the wow factor for my kids upon opening it. What is really unique is that it seems like a rigid car, and yet it is maneuverable to transform it. The addition of the smaller monster truck was a fun extra. All around, this toy exceeded expectations and is much more than just a larger drivable truck."

Let's be real: Monopoly can sometimes drag on for what feels like days. This new edition wraps up in about 20 minutes — plenty of time for everyone to get their Monopoly fix without falling asleep in their pile of cash. The board, cards and real estate give it the same feel...just at a faster pace. "We love that it's way shorter than the original game," said a five-star reviewer. "There are no tokens, but token cards. And it is a matter of luck but also strategy. We love how you can collect buildings. The chance cards are unpredictable and add a fun twist."

If you grew up in the 90s, there's a good chance you remember Bop It! In the updated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles version, Leonardo asks players to "bop his shell," "twist his arm" and "pull his leg" in a series of ever-changing commands that leads to plenty of laughs. One reviewer called this a "fun version of a classic game" and added, "it was cool to see my son play something that I enjoyed as a kid."

Razor has been the name in scooters for years, and the brand's E90 electric scooter is bound to be on plenty of wish lists this holiday season. It zooms up to 10 miles per hour and supports up to 120 pounds, making it something tweens can use for years. Riders can enjoy up to 40 minutes of runtime before needing a recharge. Choose from green and pink shades. "My son loves this scooter. He asks to go outside now instead of being made to. He was a little nervous when he first got it (his first electric scooter) but knowing his helmet would help protect him raised his confidence and now he’s a master," shared a thrilled parent.

The handheld Nintendo Switch Lite is a more portable and inexpensive version of the original Switch. So what’s different? Its controllers are built-in instead of removable like the Joy-Con controllers on the original, while the display size is slightly smaller — 5.5 inches compared to 6.2 inches. Compact and lightweight, it’s made for gaming on the go. This set also includes the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game for free. "The Nintendo Switch is the ultimate boredom-buster," said a fan. "I love playing Animal Crossing, Mario Kart and Splatoon with my friends. It's portable and the graphics are amazing!"

There are Lego sets you build and rebuild, and then there are structures that are meant to be displayed. This falls into the latter camp. The 630-piece set features Star Wars' Executor Super Star Destroyer, along with a special stand to show off the work once your Darth Vader fan is done. "My grandson flipped when he finally got this Lego for his birthday," wrote a grandparent. "We added a light kit to make it stand out even more."
