If you have an awkward empty spot or corner in your room, getting an accent chair can easily fill that void and make your space feel more complete. There are tons of accent chair variations available depending on your personal style, but if you want a surefire classic piece, simple and sleek leather chairs are the way to go.

Buying a genuine leather chair isn’t exactly ideal for anyone working with a tighter budget, but there are plenty of faux leather options that look remarkably like the real thing. Our latest find is this Alden Design chair from Walmart that shoppers call the “perfect accent chair,” and it could definitely pass for a more expensive high-end piece.

The simplicity of this chair is what gives it a chic and timeless vibe. Shoppers love that its look is “minimal” yet still makes a statement. It features a solid wood angled frame with clean lines, and has thick cushioning on the seat and the backrest that you can sink into. Shoppers say that this chair is “very comfortable” and that “the seat was wider than expected,” which gives you plenty of room for lounging.

This chair proves how far faux leather has come, and shoppers say that it looks “even better in person.” It’s also available in a couple of different color combinations, all of which are stunning. If we had to choose one though, we’d go for either of the two brown hues, seeing as they look the most expensive in our opinion.

In fact, just to prove how luxurious these accent chairs are, we wanted to compare it to a similar style from a more expensive home store, and found just what we were looking for at Pottery Barn. The brand has an accent chair that's the spitting image of the Walmart but, but its version is real leather, which naturally boosts up the price to well over $1,000.

If you look at these two chairs side by side, the subtle design differences don’t outweigh the difference in price. You can pick up a pair of these Alden Design accent chairs and it would still be a fraction of the price of the Pottery Barn style. For us, the more affordable pick will always win out.
